Welcome

I am an advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. I am focusing on criminal, constitutional and administrative laws. I firmly believe that judges, lawyers, law professors and law students are the integral part of the process of ensuring justice in the society. The contents of this website will reflect my perspective of courtroom experiences, law review, judgment review and legal research. I hope it would create a room for sharing thoughts and ideas.

Courtroom experiences

Courtroom experience of a lawyer is unique. Facts are different. Circumstances are different. So do the submission and the judgment. This is how precedents are created and the jurisprudence gradually reshaped.

Review

Review is a recognized method of exercising freedom of expression. The law passed by the Parliament and the Judgments are always open for constructive criticism. This is a challenging job. However, for the purpose of establishing dynamism, it is necessary to develop a culture of fair criticism.

Legal research

Legal research is the means to gather weapons for winning a case. Objective submission based on extensive research adds value to the administration of justice. It is the proper method for establishing relative truth.

Conclusion

The administration of justice is the manifestation of how civilized a nation is. How we receive complaints and dispose of the same are indicators of our justice delivery system. There is no gainsaying that our existing justice delivery system requires reformation in various aspects. Let us work together for a better tomorrow.
